Sociometry was developed by Jacobo Levy Moreno who thought of it as a way of systematizing and objectifying the study of what he called microsociology which covered the study of the subject within the group the group as a living and dynamic entity and the institution or community as a container of different types of groups. This book is made up of two parts; the first refers to the historical epistemological methodological and technical foundations of the sociometric method while the second presents different research protocols in which sociometry has been applied; from the form for the study of communities and collectivities sociometry in educational contexts the way to study high-performance groups sociometry of family groups among others.
