Meet Maurice Julien a young biracial man living on a Parallel Earth very much like our own. After graduating from Carleton University in the City of Ottawa Maurice works as a security guard while dreaming of that perfect job with the Government of Canada. Due to his lack of empathy Maurice can’t quite connect with his on-again off-again girlfriend Linh Nguyen. The world’s most unassuming sociopath feels like life is passing him by. He’s bored stiff at his job is annoyed by his coworkers and dreams of making a change. Maurice’s parents corrections officer Francois Julien and Civic Hospital nurse Monique Tremblay are fed up with his laziness and nihilism. He must get a better job or move out. One day a news report shocks the Julien family. Around the world people exhibiting animalistic behavior are attacking others. The bitten in turn attack others. Panic reigns around the world. The Government soon institutes Martial Law. Global chaos ensues and Humanity finds itself fighting for survival. Maurice and his family along with his feisty little dog Harriet a Jack Russell Terrier with the attitude of a Grizzly Bear must find a way to survive. The only snag ?
