Soft tissue considerations around immediate implant

Gingival biotype is the thickness of gingiva in the faciopalatal dimension. Different gingival biotypes respond differently to inflammation restorative trauma and parafunctional habits. Patients with thick-flat biotypes demonstrate short papillae whereas thick-scalloped biotypes show long papillae. Thin scalloped biotypes are considered at risk as they have been associated with a compromised soft tissue response following surgical and or restorative treatment as compared to that of thick biotype. So this book carve up a little about correlation between gingival biotype and immediate implant.
