Solvation of Some ��-amino Acids in Aquo-organic Binary Solvents

The study embodied in the present book entitled “Solvation of Some α-amino Acids in Aquo-organic Binary Solvents” deals with the determination of the various thermodynamic properties such as solubility molar volume Gibbs free energy enthalpy and entropy of solutions of a series of homologous α-amino acids with graded increase of -CH2- (hydrophobic moiety) group; like glycine DL-alanine DL-α-amino butyric acid and DL-nor-valine in aqueous mixtures of protic ethylene glycol (EG) quasi-aprotic 2-methoxyethanol (ME) and dipolar aprotic 1 2-dimethoxyethane (DME) in three different chapters.
