Some Trees... and a Few Flowers

From the foreword: To my surprise I found recently that I have written more 'Nature Poetry' than I thought I had. I don't see myself as any kind of John Clare or any of the so-called Romantic poets for whom 'Nature' was such an inspiration - especially Wordsworth who I'm sure most keen-eyed readers will soon realise has been a considerable influence upon my formative years. Nevertheless the relative wildness of heath woodland and fields even Nature in nicely-dressed array such as we find in many parks and gardens has often moved me to write.
