Something in the Blood

As a child Chris thought he wanted to be a doctor but a visit to a training ship convinced him that his future lay at sea. Jonathan on the other hand decided to study medicine but always had a hankering for faraway places and had a rather romanticised view of the sea based on some of his fathers reminiscences. Fate would bring them together and in an action-packed account this book explores the way in which they re-visited their early aspirations and decided if indeed they should have followed a different course. They pursued their careers but always with the occasional thought that maybe they had been swayed by circumstances into the wrong direction.
