Adityanath Mukhopadhyay has been awarded the Manik Bandyopadhyay Memorial Award and Tarashankar Bandyopadhyay Memorial Award. A movie named Raktamukhi Neela has been adapted based on his classic novel Takar Rang Lal. He has written many short stories and several novels. He died on October 9 1996 after a prolonged illness. His death had cast a shadow of mourning in literary society.
