Sorani Kurdish Phonetics and Phonology

This book presents a descriptive analysis of Kurdish phonetics and phonology specifically one of the dialects of Kurdish namely Sorani (also known as Central Kurdish). It describes the phoneme inventory of Sorani Kurdish including the consonants vowels and their allophones. In addition it examines the syllable structure in Sorani Kurdish and the possible combinations of consonant segments within the syllable. It also demonstrates some of the phonological processes which are found in Sorani Kurdish.
