South Carolina Naturalizations 1783-1850

This work contains abstracts of the records of approximately 7500 persons who were naturalized in the state of South Carolina between the years 1783 and 1850. As it is based not only on the records of various jurisdictions but on the various types of records associated with naturalization such as declarations of intent petitions and actual citizenship certificates information given in the volume varies to a rather marked degree. In general however some or all of the following data is evident: name country of origin place of residence in the U.S. occupation date of arrival in the U.S. and date of application or admission.
