When a young lady is found in a field near a gymnasium a police officer and medical examiner try to find out why and exactly what happened. Having no clues of identification they have their work cut out for them. When a second victim is found in a similar manner they realize the east side of town normally a safe place is in jeopardy. But each case grows cold as time passes. What finally gives them a good lead turns out to be someone they would never suspect. Things turn into a time race before the person could get out of the state. Will they succeed or will their suspect teach the border and vanish? And is anyone else involved?
