Space Is Never Empty 1990s - 2007

<p>My art career spans five decades and builds on my lifelong interest in</p><p>meditation philosophy and feminism as conduits of freedom and peace.</p><p>This book provides a survey of my work between the 1990s to 2007</p><p>created in both Melbourne and Perth. It is the second of a series of books</p><p>that documents the progression of my art practice.</p><p>These images of paintings show that I have continued to work towards a</p><p>non-representational practice. They show an interest in geometric shapes</p><p>and a continuance of: textural colour fields minimalist expression and</p><p>composition and group installations. These are indicative of my increasing</p><p>interest in the materiality of space both inside and outside of the works.</p><p>My overarching experience is that <em>space is never empty</em> both within each</p><p>artwork and in the surrounding environment. I aim to manifest works that are</p><p>supportive of nuance and mindful attentiveness and that create a moment of</p><p>counterpoint to the ubiquitous anxious complexity of information overload.</p>
