Special Ed Meets Kennedy

<p><span style=color: rgba(5 5 5 1)>Special Ed and the gang are back!</span></p><p><span style=color: rgba(5 5 5 1)>They meet Kennedy </span><strong style=color: rgba(5 5 5 1)>who is deaf </strong><span style=color: rgba(5 5 5 1)>and cannot hear danger approaching so she must stay in a pen by herself. Special Ed knows her loneliness</span></p><p><span style=color: rgba(5 5 5 1)>and sets out to be her friend. Teaching Kennedy his own brand of </span><strong style=color: rgba(5 5 5 1)>sign language</strong><span style=color: rgba(5 5 5 1)> proves to be difficult. And the bull-ies are no help as they</span></p><p><span style=color: rgba(5 5 5 1)>are convinced Kennedy </span><strong style=color: rgba(5 5 5 1)>CAN</strong><span style=color: rgba(5 5 5 1)> hear and in the end their mischief puts everyone in danger.</span></p><p class=ql-align-justify><br></p><p class=ql-align-justify><strong style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)>Children with disabilities</strong><span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)> are especially susceptible to </span><strong style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)>bullying</strong><span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)>- which inspired me to write this story. Special Ed is based on a </span><strong style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)>real-life special-needs calf</strong><span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)> on our ranch. I wanted to show the empathic nature of Special Ed who suffered the same loneliness as Kennedy as a young calf. I hope children will read this book and see that we each have something to offer and even bullies can soften their hearts.</span></p><p><br></p>
