<p>Kal Tezra had been an sorcerer's apprentice and one with great potential. But Kal's dream ended after his master was slain by the evil sorcerer Venn Rizon. There was only one thing that could stop Venn Rizon and avenge Kal's master. His late master's own magic. To that end Kal became a Spell Runner; those rare few who dared dabble in the smuggling of spells. With master's last and most powerful spell in hand Kal embarks upon a seemingly doomed quest to avenge his friend and mentor. </p>
