<p>On the day I was born on this earth</p><p>my path awaited my premeditated</p><p>footprints.</p><p>Imprinted in my mind was the</p><p>roadmap to my destination</p><p>and the directions to getting there</p><p>sewn into my heart.</p><p>Inga Marie is a black immigrant who finds serenity in writing poetry and applauds its beauty and power to heal many wounds. </p><p>In a debut collection she began penning over fifteen years ago Marie shares poems that address not only her life experiences of heartbreak pain rejection love and healing but also a variety of themes that include human rights universal equality faith motherhood and what it means to be a black woman in today's world.
