Spirits

<p>Stunned by the shocking turn of events at the end David Alex Jones' second novel <em>Faces </em>Dan Whitney joins forces with his old friend Anika Kristiansen their new ally Angela Baranyi (the mysterious woman of many identities from <em>Angela's Eyes</em>) and the close friends they have made since Dan's arrival in California in <em>Walls</em> to solve the puzzle of Francesca Capellini's disappearance.</p><p>At the same time Francesca comes face to face with her captor: Dan Angela and Anika's nemesis from <em>Faces.</em> Startled by the gradual realization that her abductor is both a psychologically unstable sexual predator but is also a face from her distant abusive past Francesca searches desperately for a way to escape from the isolated desert camp where she is being held hostage and also searches for a way to escape from the ghosts of her own past. In the process she manages to form a tenuous bond with her captor that enables her to piece together the events from the rest of the Trilogy <em>(Walls Faces and Angela's Eyes)</em>.</p><p>While Francesca gradually makes sense of the complex web of events from her past Dan rallies their mutual friends: Anika Angela and their comrades from <em>Chateau Eden. </em>Together they struggle against overwhelming odds and the unlimited resources of their powerful enemy in their race against time to rescue Francesca and reunite her with Dan.</p><p><em>Spirits </em>is the culmination of Dan and Francesca's inner struggles to define their identities. It links together events from <em>Walls</em> <em>Faces and Angela's Eyes</em> that span thirty years and three continents and ultimately exposes a deeply-entrenched conspiracy of sexual harassment and abuse. <em>Spirits</em> is both a romance and a psychological thriller that brings the suspense-filled roller coaster ride of <em>The Survivor Trilogy</em> to a satisfying end. But most of all <em>Spirits</em> is a tale of affirmation - a story where the spirit of love optimism and mutual cooperation eventually triumphs over hatred negativity and the need to dominate others.</p>
