Splints in Orthodontics

Splints are the fixed or removable appliance usually fabricated of resin and a proven modality for alleviating the pain of many temporomandibular disorders bruxism tension-type headaches and or migraine nowadays. Roth in orthodontics introduced use of appropriate splint therapy before starting any orthodontic treatment necessary to establish an acceptable gnathological functional occlusion.
