Young children can learn along with everyones favourite puppy Spot and his friends. This new bigger edition really brings this classic Spot story to life. Eric Hill was born in North London in 1927 and apart from a brief period of evacuation lived there for many years. His career as an artist began when he was employed as a messenger in an art studio and was encouraged to draw. Erics son was born in 1976 and he began to write stories about a puppy to read to him at bedtime and so Spot was born. Dont miss any of the other Spot lift-the-flap classics: Wheres Spot?; Spots First Walk; Spots Birthday Party; Spots First Christmas; Spot Goes to School; Spot Goes on Holiday; Spot Goes to the Circus; Spot Goes to the Farm; Spots First Easter; Spots Baby Sister; Spot Stays Overnight; Spot Goes to the Park; Spot Goes to a Party; Spot Bakes a Cake; Spot Visits his Grandparents; Spot Can Count; Whos There Spot?; Spot Says Goodnight About the Author Eric Hill (1927-2014) started his artistic career as an art studio messenger and from there went on to become a cartoonist and eventually an art director at a leading advertising agency. In 1978 Eric made up a story about a small puppy to read to his son at bedtime and Spot was born. The success of his first bestselling lift-the-flap classic Wheres Spot? in 1980 convinced him to become a full-time author and his Spot books have been enjoyed by children around the world ever since. In 2008 he was awarded an OBE for services to childrens literacy.
