SRI: A civil society innovation for increasing productivity of rice

This book provides research study of adoption level of farmers towards System of rice intensification technology (SRI) in Dhamtari District of Chhattisgarh State India. The adoption of any technology depends on the availability of inputs and expertise but side by side there are several other factors which affects the adoption of technology. In case of SRI technology Knowledge up gradation is essential for adoption there for agriculture related information should be done participatory extension approach and seeing is believing and learning by doing principle should be followed for dissemination of innovation for which demonstration and training programme should be essentially organized.
