Standing in the River

<p>Human nature has a tendency to create rules expectations and rituals with regard to religion. Christianity is the one and only faith that offers redemption without adherence to a set of rules. For two thousand years it has transcended nationalities languages and cultures. It has waned throughout the ages when it has required adherence to extraneous rules or rituals. It has thrived in eras of its return to the central message: By grace are we saved through faith alone.</p><p></p><p>Church attendance is in decline in the United States and Europe in all denominations. A majority of Evangelicals are affiliating with extreme-right culture which has sparked some concern about the nature of what it means to be a follower of Christ. Social media technology and mass media contribute to complicating the basic tenet of salvation by faith.</p><p></p><p>This book offers a return to the basic tenets of faith that were critical to the formation and expansion of Christianity for two thousand years. Hopefully it will serve as a guide to return believers to the central ideals of Christianity while also amplifying and deepening the faith of the reader.</p>
