My Staring Blue Eyes: I Remember Being Seated In A Waiting Room. I Explored My Eyes In A Large Mirror A Wall-Sized Mirror Which Seemed Larger Than Mount Everest. The Mirror Is Located On The East Wall Of The Waiting Room With The Chairs Against The Western Wall. Of Course I Sat Down And Looked Into This Reflective Surface.I Looked Into My Face Tried To Fix My Hair So I Did Not Appear Disheveled. I First Noticed The Expression On My Face. It Was Those Eyes Those Curious Eyes. What Did The Windows To My Soul Reveal?I Wondered Whether The Eyes Gave An Insight Into The Creative Intelligent Spirit Deep Within; Thus Began The Self Searching For Clues As To My True Essence. I Surveyed The Past. I Was Aroused By The Present Potential; Inspired By The Future.I Went Inside My Emotional Being In An Attempt To Delve Within.I Knew That I Needed More Than The Cursory Reviews Of My Feelings.Perhaps The Driving Forces For My Successes And Failures Were A Result Of My Character Attributes Deeply Guarded; Or They Needed To Be Adjusted Or Rounded And Balanced Differently. Nevertheless Those Blue Eyes Showed A Man Longing To Live A Life Full Of “Something” Unexplainable.Thus I Began My Search With The Thankful Help From David Sabine A Friend And Confidant. I Turned To My Trusted Friend And Wife Jane. I Was Encouraged To Express Such Feelings On Paper To Be Patient In My Review And To Be Dangerously Opened. I Am Aware That What Is Put In Print Or Type Cannot Be Taken Back. It Is Out There Forever For The World To See And Examine. I Am Taking A Risk.This Collection Is A Result Of My Quest And It Is Dedicated To Those Who Helped Me To Find Myself - The Self That May Have Been Misplaced Or Maybe The Self That I Never Openly Discovered. I Am Confident That My Writing Will Be Of Assistance To Each Person Who Is Looking For A Life Full Of “Something Else” In This Existential Journey.
