Stars of Heaven

<p><em>The purpose of this book is not to show you how to set up or read a horoscope. Here we seek to help you get acquainted with the feeling and personality of signs and planets and their underlying symbology.</em></p><p> </p><p>The heavens declare the glory of God;</p><p>and the firmament sheweth His handiwork.</p><p><br></p><p>Day unto day uttereth speech</p><p>and night unto night sheweth knowledge.</p><p><br></p><p>There is no speech nor language</p><p>where their voice is not heard.</p><p><br></p><p>Yet their line goes out through all the earth</p><p>and their words to the end of the world.</p><p>-Psalm 19</p><p> </p><p><em>'The Speech of the Stars'</em> - that is the literal meaning of the term 'astrology'; and as the Psalmist said 'There is no language where their voice is not heard' for their field is so vast as to encompass the universe.</p><p><br></p><p>What do they say? Their speech is in the patterns drawn by the planets each of which moves like a stylus across the heavens tracing its invisible geometrical lines among the distant stars and suns. By number their paths can be discerned and by harmony of position the nature of their effects can be determined even as a musician can look at a diagram of notes and chords on paper and tell at once whether the notes when struck will sound high or low harmonious or discordant. -Ruth Blighton</p>
