Status and potential of agro based Industries in Punjab

It has taken seven years for me to exhaustively research upon the potential of agro processing industries in Punjab and to come out with the findings and recommendations based on those findings. This book has comprehensively covered all the related aspects of agro processing in the state. Punjab which used to be an agriculturally well off in 1970s and figured at the first place in terms of all economic indicators is now witnessing a high degree of farm suicides and slipped in terms of economic fundamentals. Agro processing industries which are seen as a catalyst to transform the fortunes of agriculturists and industrialists are analyzed with the help of the data taken from Ministry of Statistics duly supplemented with our own primary survey to find out their actual potential.
