Status of the co-producer of an audiovisual or cinematographic work

The status of the co-producer of an audiovisual or cinematographic work under French law is not clearly defined. This gives rise to two sub-questions concerning the definition of the notion of co-producer and the regime applicable to it. The notion of delegated producer is sometimes confused with that of co-producer as the two notions have common characteristics. But beyond these common features there are also points of divergence. This concept must also be defined in relation to the other co-production partners.
