Stereotype?Not sure. Representation of Southeast Asian in HongKong

The determination for this simple research grew on the day i visited Chungking Mansion in Hong Kong.By talking to those shop owners whose ancestry drifted to HK from their Southeast Asian hometownsand became permanent residence therei found out the big discrepency of the ethnic minority i pictured in mind.By tracing back the trajectoryre-examining how those little dots knitted togetherI wondered how mass media dominantly constructed perception to a communityespecially to powerless minority (compare with the privilege of cacusian minority in HK).This research is to analyse how ethnic minority was represented in the mass media by adopting TV documentary series as cases and audience analysis.I am a minority by myself.LastlyI would like to thank my intervieweespeople in RTHK and professors in CUHKit''s your help make this became possible.Every individual is a minority.for Tung Cheungmy love forever
