<p>Child marriages have been the topic of debate for many years. Having been given in marriage at the tender age of fourteen <strong>Lydia Chais</strong> retells her story of what it was like being married to a much older man a man who had over-stepped his boundaries as her teacher and seduced her shortly after turning twelve. She recalls the verbal abuse physical onslaughts and the feelings of helplessness during those tumultuous years. By writing about her own personal experience it is the hope from the author to be able to enlighten others about the serious consequences resulting from child marriages.
