About The Book

Recent changes in the agricultural animal production and feeding practices have led to increase in incidence of impaction syndrome in dairy animals especially in the developing countries. The data regarding diagnosis and differentiating different causes of the impaction disorders in bovine is limited. The problem is compounded by lack of suitable epidemiological data on the etiology of the disease. Limited work with variable success has been reported on the role of ultrasonography in the diagnosis of forestomach dysfunctions. Ultrasonography can give an assessment of reticular and omasal dysfunctions. This research book presents the clinical signs hematological and biochemical alterations along with diagnostic modalities and therapy of stomach impaction in cattle and buffaloes.
