About The Book

A Hospital volunteer a country parson and an overall wearing character named “Alias” team up against the religious hierarchy and government bureaucracy in an effort to overturn The Existing Treatment Act a prehistoric law that stands in the way of a possible curative surgical procedure in behalf of a twelve-year-old cancer stricken orphan. Kip Kiley a twelve-year-old orphan is diagnosed with terminal cancer. Kip is denied treatment solely because he is a “Ward of the State”.There are millions of families affected by physical and “spiritual” cancer each year but there biggest battle is not against the cancer but the cold brutal lonely behind-the-scene struggle. My novel Stone Courage chronicles hospital volunteer Dan Penny’s personal battle with faith and hope as he fights against society’s cancer: the overwhelming impersonal government policies and health care agencies. With the sword of the spirit Dan attempts to severe the metastasis that has also occurred within the modern day unapproachable ecclesiastical hierarchy. The threesome join forces with a now-I-see-the-light mega-church pastor who buckles a washbasin over his knee declaring; “We will no longer do as Pilate and wash our hands” ultimately spring-boarding a “cancer camp coup”.
