About the Book: The book is a collection of short stories representing the modern Meitei ethos from the perspective of a sensitive and eloquent woman. She weaves these stories from her lived experience and a tinge of fiction to make the characters come to life. It is an attempt to portray the milieu of the beautiful and conflict-ridden state of Manipur. It consists of five short stories narrated by the protagonist. It comprises of tales of star-crossed lovers resilience and strength loneliness overcoming fear and finding oneself. It is an easy read with a unique sense of poignant yet satirical humor. About the Author: Dr. R K Roshni Raj Lakshmi is a teacher at the Manipur University. Before she started her career in yoga she had pursued B.A Hons in English from Ramjas College at Delhi University. She had an affinity to literature and the English poetry from her early childhood. She always loved writing and being a taciturn person she found her eloquence in her writings. She has written five books till date though this is the first book in fiction.
