As Daddy whirled and dashed to the front of the building he saw an Oregon State Police car pulling up to the entrance. By the time Daddy got outside that dark blue car was gone. Mother who had been sitting right there in the truck looked at Daddy in surprise when he asked her where the police car had gone. She had not seen it.
