Straight Talk from a Wise Woman

<p>In the wake of George Floyd's murder on May 25 2020 I was drowning in a flood of despair hopelessness and so much anger. A notebook was my life jacket. I seized my intuition my knowledge and wisdom and chose instead to utilize my anger and trauma to transform brokenness into a powerful healing modality a radically revolutionary remedy to soothe feelings of powerlessness. When I needed a place to unburden myself writing was not only a safe space but also an empowering one. Indeed writing has its own power for both writer and reader. </p><p></p><p>As I wrote what was near and dear to me in that heartspace full of many different emotions I realized I had been seeking an external remedy when all along the remedy was deep within my body mind and spirit. This book is an act of reclaiming power.</p>
