Strategic planning and procurement of medicals in Uganda

Some of the findings in this book will always stay with me as long as I live. That is what makes this book such a great piece of work. I recommend this book to practitioners and anyone who treasures knowledge in the fields of strategic planning procurement and funding of the health sector in Uganda. It consists of eight chapters. Chapter four is quite interesting as it concentrates on the historical and philosophical trends of strategic planning right from its earliest military roots regarding battle formation to becoming a focus of management today. Chapter eight which is the last chapter includes the recommended contribution to knowledge in form of the CALF model. A simulation showed that if this model is adopted by Uganda’s health sector the contribution of strategic planning to effectiveness in procurement of medicals would improve by 10%.
