About The Book
Description
Author
Organic synthesis basically involves bond forming reaction. These include C–C bond formation C–O bond formation C–N bond formation C–S bond formation and C–halogen bond formation. All reactions involved in various bond formations have been discussed under normal conditions and also under benign conditions which is most important in the context of Green Chemistry. This is also helpful for reducing environmental pollution.
Once the bond formation is achieved the next step is the transformation of the functional groups to form the desired product. It is sometimes also necessary to protect a functional group (in case a substrate contains two functional groups) so that the reaction can take place at the desired functional group. Another important technique for Organic Synthesis is Enantioselective Synthesis. All these are necessary for Retrosynthesis.
This book will be extremely helpful to chemists all over the globe and to postgraduate students in Organic Chemistry.
