The results of national and international research and educational statistics repeatedly highlight the need to transform the process of teaching and learning to read in order to promote children's enjoyment of reading their desire to deepen their knowledge and skills in this area and the value of these in their learning and development process. Based on current theoretical perspectives and curriculum guidelines we have undertaken within the scope of our pedagogical action various teaching strategies that allow us to achieve a set of objectives designed to deepen reading skills in preschool children and those in the 1st cycle of basic education as well as their enjoyment of reading.
