<p>STREETS & SAN is a collection rooted in family set mostly on the streets of Chicago. As the son of Irish immigrant parents in a household marked by alcoholism and violence yet suffused with love the author confronts issues of identity displacement forgiveness and home. In struggling to label the conflicting feelings within his own personal history he tries to become a caring parent to his own children discovering along the way the saving power of language and art.</p><p></p>
