About The Book

This book deals with strengthening the reinforced cement concrete elements using various FRP and binders. Each chapter in this book describes about the strengthening of the column and beam. In Chapter I explain the shear and flexural strengthening of reinforced concrete beams using different types of fibre reinforced polymers and adhesives. Chapter II describe the effect of GFRP on strength ductility and load-deflection of the reinforced concrete columns strengthened with GFRP. Chapter III deal with the carbon fibre reinforced polymer composites and a detailed study had been on the usage of FRP composites in the strengthening of reinforced concrete columns. Chapter IV illustrates about the beam member strengthened using hybrid FRP laminates. Chapter V explains with a significant realistic issue that is encountered in strengthening of beams with different type and different thicknesses of glass fibre laminates.
