STRESS AND EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT

Stress is the phenomena having drastic impact on the dedication willingness to work and enthusiasm of the employee. Studies on Job demands Job resources and their relationship with burnout and engagement was done with respect to other countries. The association between Stress and Employee Engagement is studied in different sectors across the world. As there are not many studies on association between Stress and Employee Engagement reported in India in IT sector this study is undertaken to fill that gap. The concept of stress has been studied from multiple facets but hardly any study has been reported which examine association between stress and employee engagement in IT sector in Hyderabad. The role played by the Hyderabad IT companies in the growth of the software industry in India has been an important one. NTT DATA being the fifth largest IT Company with a huge global workforce seemed to be a right representative of IT sector in Hyderabad.
