‘Stress Tolerance Co-Dependency Self-Esteem: Pastorlia Revisited’ investigates self-esteem in relation to stress tolerance. It aims to identify counselling needs awaken the Church to evaluate and restructure its ministry and to readdress this issue to recognize the implication of the study for pastoral care and counselling. The book attempts to connect affected families with the Church counsellors family therapists de-addiction centres social empowerment agencies and governmental agencies to develop an enrichment program to address these needs.  This book provides pastoral care and counselling to the wives of alcoholics. The Church and pastoral counsellors can also take part in this effort by counselling couples to cope with challenging situations and to improve their self-esteem. Implications are drawn from the major findings of the research and focus on increasing self-esteem stress tolerance spirituality and to reducing co-dependency of wives of alcoholics. The goal of pastoral care and counselling for wives of alcoholics is to provide immediate relief from low self-esteem stress emotional distress co-dependency and enable her to return to normal marital life. The main objective of pastoral care and counselling is to form a ‘healthy community’ based on religious values and ethics. This book recommends the care and counselling model for both secular and pastoral counsellors.
