Structural Analysis and Design of Reinforced Concrete Buildings

This publication gives a general overview of structural design according to British Standards and includes a worked example showing the design of a three-storey reinforced concrete building. The example represents a typical design of a reinforced concrete building. The book focuses more on the application of the principles of design as provided in the BS8110 code of practice.There are several publicly available textbooks on theory of structures and structural analysis which readers are encouraged to access. The publication also gives highlights on key areas which are important to enable the reader to apply the design example to similar or more complex reinforced concrete projects.
