The Finished Mystery the seventh volume of Studies in the Scriptures is a controversial and apocalyptic work attributed to Charles Taze Russell founder of the Bible Student movement though it was completed after his death by his associates Clayton J. Woodworth and George H. Fisher. The book is an in-depth commentary on the books of Revelation Ezekiel and the Song of Solomon offering an eschatological interpretation that aligns with the theological views of early Jehovah''s Witnesses (then called the Bible Students). It was intended to serve as a “posthumous” work of Russell continuing his legacy of scriptural interpretation. The book presents a detailed and symbolic reading of Revelation interpreting world events particularly World War I as fulfillments of biblical prophecy. It argues that the end times are imminent and that the global upheavals of the early 20th century were evidence of Christ''s invisible return to Earth marking the beginning of the “last days.” Woodworth and Fisher also provide explanations of Ezekiel’s visions and the allegories found in the Song of Solomon relating them to the unfolding of God’s plan for the restoration of the righteous and the destruction of worldly powers.
