Studies on Physical Properties of ME Composites

Composite materials play a crucial role in the modern technology in several aspects. Infact the modern technology requires a material of unique property that cannot be met by the conventional metal alloys ceramics and polymer materials. In the modern technology composites with unique or improved properties have several advantages over single phase materials. Composites consisting of ferrite and ferroelectric phases exhibit magnetoelectric effect (ME) and hence termed as magnetoelectric composites. These ME composites have novel coupling properties such as magnetoelectric effect magnetooptic effect magnetoresistance etc.
