Studies on polymer gel as a drug delivery system

About The Book

The conventional eye drops show relatively low bioavailability due to poor precorneal time. In situ hydrogels are of great interest in providing sustained occular drug delivery. Moxifloxacin HCL formulations were prepared and evaluated. The formulation provided desired proprties. The conventional eye drop can not provide and maintain adequate conc of drug in ocul de sac. In situ gelling and mucoadhesive ophthalmic drug delivery system containing Moxifloxacin HCl based on poloxamer and PEO were developed and evaluated. The desired release was achived.
