Studies on the Development of Glycerosomal Drug Delivery System

Economic changes in pharmaceutical industry have led to a marked reduction in supply of new chemical entities. This combined with an increase in expiration of patents and tighter regulatory controls has lead many companies to rethink of existing product design. The growing trend to improve the efficacy of existing drug products to extend patent life has allowed a greater understanding of newer formulation design. This book is designed to take a reader through the new drug delivery system Glycerosomes. It is an approach to increase liposome properties as dermal and transdermal systems using different phospholipids and high concentrations of glycerol a harmless and fully accepted compound for topical application. The book takes into account the importance of the drug delivery system and applications.
