Despite its use in various processes such as a catalyst in biodiesel synthesis manufacturers currently employ only one method of quantifying sodium methoxide solutions which is done indirectly and takes a relatively long time. This work presents an alternative method based on thermometry which is less costly faster and simpler and can be applied in the inspection of raw material reception and quality control of industrial processes recommended for professionals and researchers in general. Oxidation stability is considered a critical parameter in biodiesel quality control. In practice the degradation of biodiesel gives rise to substances that cause numerous problems in engines. The second part of this work presents a study of the influence of the liquid obtained from cashew nut shells (LCC) on the oxidative stability of biodiesel from different raw materials. The results obtained which reveal advantages of its use that go beyond the gain in biodiesel quality also provide useful information to professionals related to the biofuel area including producers researchers politicians teachers and students.
