We report the result of a prospective study on post adenomectomy site infection in the urology unit at the joint referral health center V ranging from NOVEMBER 18 2019 to OCTOBER 18 2020 i.e. 12 months covering 63 prostate adenoma surgeries who presented with SSI.The results obtained were as follows:→ Adenomectomy was the most frequent surgical activity (57.80%).→ The frequency of infection of post-adenomectomy sites was 7.94%→The most frequent germ was E. Coli (40%).→ The most commonly used antibiotic was ceftriaxone (40%).→ Deep and superficial suppuration were the most frequent types (40%for each case).→ Sedentary lifestyle smoking alcohol consumption BMI abnormalities(Overweight lean obese) diabetes ; HTA preoperative urinary tract infection preoperative catheterization preoperative hyperglycemia high weight of adenoma on ultrasound insufficient preoperative patient preparation high number of people in the operating room long duration of the operation the period of hot weather in the year...
