STUDY OF SELF-DISCLOSURE OF X STANDARD STUDENTS

About The Book

This study explores how personality influences self-disclosure among 10th-standard students. As adolescent mental health becomes an increasingly important concern understanding how teenagers express their thoughts and emotions is essential. One of the key factors affecting their well-being is the quality of their relationships-especially with parents peers and teachers. Self-disclosure plays a major role in building these connections and shaping a healthy personality. The research was conducted on a sample of 200 students (100 boys and 100 girls) from various secondary schools in Bengaluru. Tools like Sinha's Self-Disclosure Inventory and the Adjustment Inventory for School Students were used to assess how open students are about different aspects of their lives-such as academics emotions family and future goals-and how this relates to their personality traits. The study aimed to understand the relationship between self-disclosure and personality as well as to examine how factors like gender and the type of school management (public or private) might influence this relationship.
