This work aims to understand the molecular mechanisms of the induction of the TP53 signaling pathway in response to the loss of the HSPC132 protein. The ultimate goal is to understand the mitochondrion-nuclear dialogue that is established following the loss of HSPC132 and which is at the origin of the activation of this TP53 pathway and the inhibition of proliferation in these tumor cells. Finally this project is part of a larger program to study the role of the mitochondrial protein HSPC132 in tumor metabolism and to understand its involvement in tumor proliferation and progression.
