Aging is a dynamic process of morphological functional psychological and biochemical modifications with this increases the risk of acquiring diseases such as subprosthetic stomatitis and with it the need to set goals to improve the health of the elderly an observational study was conducted An observational descriptive and transversal study was carried out in older adults of the Policlínico Manacas health area in 43 randomly selected patients. Subprosthetic stomatitis was predominant in females aged 60-79 years who had total upper prostheses continuously maintaining inadequate dietary habits carriers of diabetes mellitus and maladjusted prostheses with poor oral hygiene and grade 2 lesions with prostheses of more than 2 years of use.
