Successful Mums and Entrepreneurs

This book takes a look at the practices of seven women who have excelled in the fierce business world without losing focus on their families acting assertively in power struggles and contributing to the re-signification of the social role of women. Despite the historical influence of social structures on the female role corroborated by the high rates of violence and limitation we can see in successful women a new female identity that is reconstructing history through practices with a new vision way of being and desires beyond the family sphere. The author invites the reader to follow the stitching of memories that weave history explaining this phenomenon of ascension through an up-to-date and interdisciplinary study and portraying the challenges of successfully reconciling motherhood and career.
