SUFISM AND VAISHNAVISM

The title of the book “Sufism and Vaishnavism in the light of Sankardeva and Azan Fakir-the Pride of Assam” is about to highlight the main theme of Sufism and vaishnavism along with Sankardeva and Azan Fakir both who have been considered as one of the great religious literary peace-maker figure in the annals of Assamese literary history. The book has been divided into four main chapters. The first chapter deals with Sufism. The Second chapter deals with Azan Fakir and his contribution for the development of Assamese culture and society throughout his Zikir and Zari. Third chapter deals with Vaishnavism. And fourth and last chapter deals with Sankardeva who used to be consider as a great vaishnavite saint preacher writer and contribution of his Borgeets Ek saran naam dharma and Satra institution and many mores which is not possible to put in a cage of word. Both students and interested readers are sure to find this volume dealing with these themes.
