Sullivan County Tennessee Death Records 1919-1925 Volume 2

<p>The valuable information preserved on these pages was transcribed from microfilm records in the Tennessee State Library and Archives. Each record contains if available deceased's name and place of birth (if other than the local county); date of birth or age marital status parents names and places of birth (if other than the local county); cause of death; informant's name and place of residence; place of burial; and date of death. Name spelling variations have been preserved and the cause of death is quoted as it appears in the original record. This volume contains death records for some residents who were born prior to the Civil War and in many cases the records identify the parents. This is a valuable information source since marriage records were destroyed when the Union Army burned the county courthouse. There are over 8000 entries listed in the every name index.</p>
